In the beginning....

This is Lulu....  She is the sweetest little girl around.  I got to spend a  lot of time with her after she was made.  (Secrets between girls... lol)  Anyway, I fell in love with that black hair!  She was just a little charmer.  When she was finally adopted, I hated to see her go.  But, from what I hear, she has a bunch of new dolly friends and her new mommy loves her dearly!

 

Lulu wasn't the first Lollipop Baby that I made, but I used her for a while to study the face for other babies.  I had troubles with the mouth on previous babies until Lulu.  Her mouth was just so natural, I tried copying it.  But as you know, you can't duplicate when soft sculpturing cloth is involved!!!!

 I'd like to introduce you to Penelope....  She was my first baby ogre that I constructed.  I wanted something different. I love making babies "out of the box".  I saw the movie Shriek, I think it was the second one with the Shriek triplets, and thought "I wonder....".  lol.  So then Penelope was born.  I wasn't so sure about her.  I texted her picture to a fellow doll maker for her thoughts.  She absolutely loved Penelope.  She was adopted almost immediately!  And if my memory serves me correctly, her new home is all the way in Australia!!!!

This is little 12" Spike.  He was a baby I made on a whim.  I told you I like making babies "out of the box".  A few people liked him, but he was never adopted.  But my mama absolutely fell in love with him.  I don't know if it's because her altime favorite color is red or it was that cute little face.  But she had to have him.  So now, he resides with her, along with Carrot, a Tinker Bell baby!

Now, this is Jake....  He was a custom order.  The lady that ordered him, her husband was adamant, no dolls for his son!  Then she ordered Jake!  But he had to be all boy!!!!  


Her son has an unusual colored eyes, true blue, so clear they are almost transparent with just a hint of darker shade of blue around the iris! Just absolutely beautiful!  Anyway, she wanted Jake to have the same colored eyes.  I truely came close!  And when I sent her pictures of the completed Jake, she had a fit over him.  I heard from her the other day, and she said that her son will not go to sleep without Jake.  And that they are big buddies!  I am so happy that they get along so well, and that her hubby is ok with Jake!  I love for all of my babies to go to happy, loving homes!!!!
