MY NEW TOY's!!!!

Look what hubby surprised me with as a early birthday present!!!! YAY!!!

I had been oggling this baby over the last months.  Then my old machine died and I was crushed!  Low and behold, hubby to the rescue! He'd been saving up for this Babylock Sofia for a while now...   Unbeknownst to me, he's been bartering with the salesman for a while.  And guess what I got for a 4 day early birthday present?  Yup, you guessed it!!  I sure do love that man of mine!!! I am soo very thrilled!!! 

I do have to purchase a few additional accey's like the embroidery unit and software plus designs...  But for now, I couldn't be more happy with just the sewing part of the machine!  

I've never had a new or modernized machine before.  All of my machines I've had in the past were vintage.  Good grief, my beloved machine that just died was from the very early 60's..... Don't get me wrong, I still love vintage! But if you know vintage, you know a lot of them can purchased with some awesomely cool attachments.  But the new computer machine is going to be an adventure for me!!!!   Good grief, I had no idea some of the new machines you don't need a foot control or operate!!!!

So now on to the next surprise from hubby!!! (He's really racking up the points here!!! Lol). Anyway, he asked me to take a ride with him for a over an hour and a half drive, look what he bought for me as a early Christmas present!!!!  (I have to admit, about ten minutes down the road I figured out where we were going, lol...

Remember, I told you I am in love with vintage!  I just love those old vinyl records and I already have had a collection of them. Joey knew I had been wanting a record player and I had spotted this one a few days earlier on Craigslist... What a record player it is though!

The best part about this, is that it's made by Magnavox and I can hook my tv or iPhone to it and use it as surround sound!  To top it off, Joey practically only paid pennies for it!  Have I told you that I just love that man of mine????
